Magrit Prigge

Expressionist and abstract artist Magrit Prigge resides in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal South Africa.  Magrit believes her artwork has an invaluable contribution to make to the world.  She hopes the following: "That my art will move people to meditate on that which is beneath the surface; that they will perceive that divine, life-giving force which is God in whom we have our being. That people will experience my art as an expression of the Christ presence from within, and that my art may open the eyes of my fellow men to the understanding of a life of fullness and freedom in obedience. To picture the new life in Christ in color, composition, soul expression, spirituality – be it abstract or realistic and to send love, light, hope and peace into the darkness of the human heart." Magrit adds: "The scriptures that accompany my artworks served as inspiration. However, I would like the audience to feel free to make their own interpretations.”

Andrea Smith

My name is Andrea Smith, soon to be Andrea Marrero. As a child and young adult, my family and I traveled all over the world doing medical mission trips. Because my father is a Pediatrician and my mother is a certified LPN, we were able to offer an enormous amount of humanitarian aid in places such as the slums of Bangalore, India, where we would see approximately 3,400 people during our four days at the clinic. Years passed, and when the time came for me to think about college and a career, I knew I wanted to be an artist. Four years after declaring my major as illustration, I have one more class left before I receive my BFA from The Savannah College of Art and Design. Given my history of worldwide missions, I was thrilled to get the chance to illustrate scripture and use my talent to reach people around the world in a different way. As a Christian Illustrator this is a rare opportunity and I truly hope that you are blessed by the artwork I have created.
